Service Changes from 25 October 2020

There will be changes to services across the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs of Sydney from 25 October 2020. An outline of changes and a full list are provided below.

These service changes include;

Over 1000 additional services, including more services during peak, on weekends and late at night
New all day limited express routes 438X and 461X along Parramatta Road
Changes to routes in the Concord, Five Dock, Leichhardt and Rodd Point areas
Discontinuation of routes M10 and M50, replaced with Light Rail

CHANGES TO SERVICES FROM 25 OCTOBER 2020
Route 348 Wolli Creek to Bondi Junction	Over 50 additional weekly services. Extra services will be provided during weekday peak periods and on weekends.
Route 389 Bondi Junction to Pyrmont	50 additional weekly services. The frequency of services will be improved during the off-peak period on weekdays, so there will be a bus every 12 minutes.
Route 407 Burwood to Strathfield	Changes will see all services on this route operate via Newton Road throughout the week.
Route 412 Campsie to Martin Place via Earlwood	Over 30 additional weekly services. Weekend daytime service frequency will be increased to 15 minutes between Dulwich Hill and the City and to 30 mins between Campsie and Dulwich Hill.
Route 413 Campsie to Martin Place	Over 70 additional weekly services. To reduce duplication with other services, this route will be altered to end at Railway Square instead of Martin Place. Customers looking to continue their journey to Martin Place will be able to catch a train from Central Station or light rail from the Haymarket Light Rail stop. Additional services will be added either side of the morning and afternoon peaks to provide more choice on travel. Sunday services will also be upgraded, with the frequency of services to be improved to a bus every 30 minutes, and services operating later in the evening.
Route 418 Kingsford to Burwood via Mascot, Sydenham and Dulwich Hill	All services ending at Kingsford will now stop at Dacey Gardens. The stop for services departing Kingsford remains unchanged.
Route 420 Eastgardens to Burwood via Sydney Airport and Rockdale Eastgardens to Burwood via Sydney Airport and Rockdale	Over 170 additional weekly services. The frequency of weekday services will be improved so there will be a bus every 15 minutes.
Route 423 Kingsgrove to Martin Place	Over 40 additional weekly services. The frequency of weekend services will be improved so there will be a bus every 15 minutes during the day.
Route 428 Canterbury to Martin Place	Around 50 additional weekly services. The frequency of weekend services will be improved so there will be a bus every 15 minutes during the day.
Route 431 Glebe Point to Martin Place	There will be minor changes to the timetable on this route to improve reliability. The frequency of weekend trips will be adjusted to better reflect demand, with services operating every 12 minutes on Saturdays and 15 minutes on Sundays.
Route 433 Balmain Gladstone Park to Pitt Street	Over 50 additional weekly services. The frequency of weekend services will be improved so there will be a bus every 12 minutes on Saturdays and every 15 minutes on Sundays.
Route 436 Rodd Point and Chiswick to Pitt Street (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be withdrawn, with services in Rodd Point and Haberfield replaced by the new route 437, which will run from Five Dock to the Queen Victoria Building via the City West Link. Customers travelling from Rodd Point or Boomerang Street in Haberfield to Central Station or to a destination along Parramatta Road can transfer to the 438X at Haberfield Shops or Leichhardt Market Place. Customers travelling from Chiswick or Russell Lea towards Parramatta Road or Central Station can transfer from route 504 and transfer to route 438X at Wareemba or use a route 492 or 530 service on Lyons Road and transfer to 438X at Five Dock shops.
Route 437 Five Dock to Queen Victoria Building via City West Link (New Route)	This new route will operate between Five Dock and the Queen Victoria Building via Rodd Point, Haberfield, Leichhardt, Leichhardt North and the City West Link. Services will operate from early morning until late at night, every 15 minutes on weekdays, every 20 minutes during the day on weekends and every 30 minutes during evenings.
Routes 438 Abbotsford to Martin Place (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be replaced by the new route 438X and 438N.
Route 438X, 438N Abbotsford to Martin Place (New Routes)	Route 438 will be upgraded to become 438X, a new limited stops service, with buses operating at least every 10 minutes for most of the day, seven days a week. During weekday peaks buses will operate around every 5 minutes, and evening services will operate every 15-30 minutes. Services on route 438X will be all stops from Abbotsford to Leichhardt Town Hall (Norton St), then Parramatta Road and Catherine Street, Parramatta Road and Johnston Street, Parramatta Road and Missenden Road (for RPA Hospital), Parramatta Road and Ross Street (for University of Sydney), Broadway Shopping Centre (Mountain Street/Victoria Park), Railway Square then all stops to Martin Place. Early morning and late night services will operate as the all stops 438N (before 6am and after 10pm). Route 438X and 438N replaces routes 438 and L38.
Route 439 Mortlake to Martin Place (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be withdrawn and alternative services provided by routes 464, 502, 438X or 438N. Customers travelling from Mortlake or Concord to the Sydney CBD can use route 464 and transfer to a train service at Burwood Station. Customers travelling from Cabarita, Concord and Canada Bay towards Leichhardt or the Sydney CBD can use route 502 and transfer to a route 438X service at Ramsay Road in Five Dock. During weekday peaks, customers from Cabarita, Concord and Canada Bay can travel directly to the Sydney CBD via Victoria Road on route 502. Customers travelling between Five Dock, Haberfield and Leichhardt to the Sydney CBD can use route 438X.
Route 440 Bondi Junction to Rozelle	Around 440 additional weekly services. Extra weekly services will operate between Leichhardt and Railway Square during the weekday peaks. On Sundays the frequency of services will be improved to every 15 minutes.
Route 445 Campsie to Balmain via Leichhardt Marketplace	Over 20 additional weekly services. The frequency of Saturday services will be improved to every 15 minutes.
Route 447 Lilyfield to Leichhardt Marketplace Loop Service (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be withdrawn and replaced by new route 437.
Route 461 Burwood to Domain (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be replaced by the new route 461X and 461N.
Route 461X, 461N Burwood to Domain (New Routes)	Route 461 will be upgraded to become route 461X, a new limited stops service, with buses operating at least every 15 minutes for most of the day, seven days a week. During weekday peaks buses will operate around every 10 minutes. Evening services will operate every 15-30 minutes. Services on route 461X will be all stops from Burwood Station to Parramatta Road and Catherine Street, then stop only at Parramatta Road and Johnston Street, Parramatta Road and Missenden Road (for RPA Hospital), Parramatta Road and Ross Street (for University of Sydney), Broadway Shopping Centre (Mountain Street/Victoria Park), Railway Square, then all stops to the Domain. Early morning and late night services will operate as an all stops 461N. Route 461X and 461N replaces route 461.
Route 464 Mortlake to Ashfield via Burwood	Over 420 additional weekly services. This route will replace all route 466 services between Burwood, Enfield, Croydon Park and Ashfield. The frequency of services on weekdays and Saturdays will be improved so that customers see a bus every 15 minutes during the day (around every 10 minutes during weekday peaks), while the frequency of Sunday services will be improved to 20 minutes. Evening services will operate every 30 minutes.
Route 466 Cabarita Park to Ashfield via Burwood	This route will be altered to run between Cabarita Park and Burwood only, no longer operating to or from Ashfield. During peak periods the service will run between Cabarita and Burwood via Bayview Park. The route will be altered to operate direct via Ian Parade instead of Concord shops. Existing school service extensions to and from Strathfield Station will be maintained. During weekday off-peak periods, evenings and on weekends, services will operate between Bayview Park and Burwood only. Route 464 will provide alternative full time services between Concord, Burwood, Enfield, Croydon Park and Ashfield, while route 502 will provide alternative full time services between Cabarita Wharf, Concord, Five Dock and Drummoyne, with services extending to and from the Sydney CBD during weekday peak periods.
Route 470 Lilyfield to Martin Place	Over 200 additional weekly services. The frequency of weekday daytime and evening services will be improved to every 10 minutes, with the frequency of Sunday services increased to every 15 minutes.
Route 480 Strathfield to Pitt Street via Homebush Road	The frequency of services will be changed to every 60 minutes during weekday off peak and Saturdays to reflect demand.
Route 483 Strathfield to Pitt Street via South Strathfield	The frequency of services will be improved to every 30 minutes, seven days a week.
Route 487 Bankstown Central to Canterbury	All services will operate via Roselands Shopping Centre instead of direct via Canterbury Road.
Route 502 Five Dock to Town Hall via Drummoyne	Around 440 additional weekly services. The route will be altered to operate between Cabarita Wharf and Drummoyne via Concord and Five Dock seven days a week. The route in Five Dock will be changed to operate via Fairlight Street and Ingham Avenue, instead of via Park Road, First Avenue and Heath Street. During the weekday peaks services will continue to operate to and from the Sydney CBD via Victoria Road. There will also be extra services either side of the morning and evening peaks with services departing the Sydney CBD until 8.30pm. Customers in Bayview Park travelling towards the Sydney CBD can use route 466 then transfer to route 502 at Crane Street in Concord.
Route 503 Drummoyne to Town Hall (New Route)	This new route will operate between Drummoyne (Bayswater Street) and the Sydney CBD, operating during weekday peak hours only. Services will run between 6.30am and 10am, then 3pm 7pm, in both directions with a bus every 10 minutes during the busiest parts of the peaks. Route 503 will replace existing route 508 and M50 services between Drummoyne and the Sydney CBD. Services will no longer start of finish at Victoria Place in Drummoyne.
Route 504 Chiswick to Domain	Around 280 additional weekly services. The frequency of daytime services will be improved to every 15 minutes seven days a week, while the frequency of weeknight services will also be improved to see a bus every 15 minutes.
Route 508 Drummoyne to Town Hall (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be withdrawn and replaced by a new route 503 during weekday peak periods or frequent services along Victoria Road.
Route L23 Kingsgrove to Martin Place	The route number will be changed to the 423X.
Route L28 Canterbury to Martin Place	The route number will be changed to the 428X.
Route L37 Haberfield to Town Hall (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be withdrawn and replaced by the new route 437. Customers along Balmain Road can use routes 440 and 445 then transfer to frequent city bound services at Rozelle.
Route L38 Abbotsford to Martin Place (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be withdrawn and replaced by the new route 438X.
Route L39 Mortlake to Martin Place (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be withdrawn and alternative services provided by routes 464, 502 and 438X. Customers travelling from Mortlake or Concord to the Sydney CBD can use route 464 and transfer to a train service at Burwood Station. During weekday peaks, customers from Concord and Canada Bay can travel directly to the Sydney CBD via Victoria Road on route 502. Customers travelling from Concord and Canada Bay towards Leichhardt or Central Station can use route 502 then transfer to route 438X at Ramsay Road in Five Dock.
Route M10 Maroubra Junction to Leichhardt via City (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be withdrawn with alternative services available on route 440 and other frequent Parramatta Road services. During weekday peaks, additional services will operate on route 440 between Leichhardt and Railway Square. Customers travelling to and from the eastern suburbs can use frequent services on routes 394, L94, 396, 397 or 399 along Anzac Parade, or new L3 light rail services.
Route M50 Coogee to Drummoyne (Withdrawn Route)	This route will be withdrawn with alternative services available on routes 502, 503 or 504, or other frequent Victoria Road routes. Customers travelling to and from the eastern suburbs can use frequent L2 light rail services, or routes 373, 374, 376 or 377.
Route X04 Domain to Chiswick	This route number will be changed to 504X
