Transport For NSW

Transport for NSW (TFNSW) is the lead agency in the transport portfolio in New South Wales. They are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking. Their role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.

They are supported by a range of operating agencies and project delivery offices that help deliver services that TFNSW provides. Amongst these operating agencies there are a number of both government owned and also privately owned agencies.
