From Sunday 28 July there will be major changes to Hillsbus operations in the Hills District and North West. The changes build on the opening of the Sydney Metro North West Line and provide more frequent services in the local area to cover the new stations, shopping and medical precincts.
New and modified bus services will will provide connections to Sydney Metro services in Rouse Hill, Kellyville, Bella Vista and Castle Hill. There will also be more services to new residential developments including Arnold Avenue and Foxall Road.
Since Sydney Metro opened there has been reduced demand on buses travelling to destinations like Macquarie Park, Chatswood, North Sydney and the Sydney CBD via the M2. Some M2 bus services will be adjusted to reflect the reduced demand.
Regular M2 buses will continue to run between the North West, Macquarie Park, North Sydney and Sydney CBD, but if you are travelling to areas like Chatswood you will be able to access turn-up-and-go Sydney Metro services with extra local services to connect to your nearest station.

| 606 | The route will be adjusted to operate via Buckleys Road in Winston Hills instead of Caroline Chisholm Drive. Alternative service in Caroline Chisholm Drive is available on route 706. |
| 607X | The route will be adjusted to operate between Bella Vista Station and the Sydney CBD only. Customers travelling to the Sydney CBD from locations north of Bella Vista can use route 665 (former route T65) to connect with route 607X at Bella Vista, or use Sydney Metro/Sydney Trains services. |
| 610X | This service will be adjusted to operate full time from Castle Hill to the Sydney CBD, with weekday peak hour services extended to and from James Mileham Drive and Samantha Riley Drive in Kellyville. Alternative services between Rouse Hill and Castle Hill will be available on route 633 which will be extended to Rouse Hill. |

| 612X | This service will be adjusted to operate between Castle Hill and Milsons Point. Alternative services between Samantha Riley Drive and Castle Hill available on routes 626 or 633. |
| 614X | 10 additional weekly services. The route will be adjusted to terminate at Chapel Lane and Mackillop Drive. |
| 617 | 210 additional weekly services. New morning and afternoon peak services will be introduced, replacing existing route 617X services. |
| 619 | This route will be adjusted to operate between Castle Hill and Macquarie Park only. Services between Rouse Hill and Castle Hill will be replaced by route 651. |
| 620N | This service will be changed to operate during early Saturday and Sunday mornings only between the Sydney CBD and Cherrybrook, operating via Cherrybrook Metro station. Weekday peak hour services will be available on route 620X. |
| 620X | This route will be changed to operate during morning and afternoon peak periods only. Alternative services during off peak times will be replaced by route 626 to Cherrybrook Station and route 604 to Castle Hill Station. Late Friday and Saturday night services from the City to Cherrybrook will be provided by route 620N. |

The Metro sucks if you live in West Pennant Hills and want to work or shop at Macquarie. Twice the price, 3 times the distance. 4 times the duration. Not every one wants to go to the bloody Metro. You can’t even get a seat. The Metro has been an unmitigated disaster for residents of West Pennant Hills, who enjoyed excellent bus services and are now forgotten.
