Service Changes from 30 June 2019

From 30 June, there will be changes to bus services in Newcastle and Sydney’s western, north-western and eastern suburbs. These include over 400 new services across Sydney, as well as severe cuts to services and associated timetable changes in Newcastle.

  • 104 additional weekly trips
  • Earlier and later weekday services
  • Later weekend services

  • 95 additional weekly trips
  • Additional evening services between the City and Rosebery/Kingsford

  • 40 additional weekly services
  • Additional morning and afternoon shoulder peak services
  • Sunday service frequency increase between West Ryde and Ryde Shops

  • New off peak, evening and weekend services introduced on route 533, replacing all existing route 534 trips
  • New off peak, evening and weekend trips on route 533 between Sydney Olympic Park and Ryde

  • 150 additional weekly services
  • Additional morning and afternoon peak services
  • Weekday service frequency increased to every 15 minutes on the route section between Macdonald Road Ingleburn and Prestons via Edmondson Park Station

  • Route 940 will be changed in the Riverwood area
  • The existing route path along Kylie Parade and Joyce Street will be re-routed to run via Moxon Road and Wiggs Road to support a more reliable service
  • Alternative bus stops will be installed on Moxon Road and Wiggs Road

  • Passengers can instead catch D59 (on demand)
Stockton Ferry
  • Early morning ferry services from Stockton will be adjusted to better connect with light rail services
