So you put a bunch of apartments in Eastgardens and now you want to cut bus routes from eastgardens to the city? Buses are already packed and you want to make it worse? Good plan.
LikeLike
Any thoughts on how you can get to and from Taylor Square to the south east?
In summary YOU CANT. 373, 377 and L94/394 all gone. You can only go to
Clovelly.
The light rail goes no where near Darlinghurst.
LikeLike
Yes…. I am also worried about that… The whole plan simply ignores the taylor square completely

This new change is a joke. What about the people who live in Botany not one direct route to the city. You have cancelled the 309x now the 309 to stop at redfern. Botany residents have no benefit of light rail or train setvices the least you could have is 1 bus service that takes you all the way to circular quay. We cant even get the 320 now…..
LikeLike
Cant get directĺy to city from nth randwick /clovelly either on reg 339. Dumps you sth of ciity and use lught rail. Now 2 services to get to airport instead of 400 service. New “400” ie 350 is going to get jammed up in coogee but why shld i worry. … its nowhere near me in randwick now anyway. All these feeder and connecting services will not connect well and we will have ling waits connecting.
LikeLike
The 350 will get jammed up coming out of Bondi Junction and at Waverley. Sometimes it drops us at Coogee Beach and we have to wait for another one.
It doesn’t go to Maroubra Beach or the Seals Club anymore.
People going to Rockdale or Burwood have to catch it to the airport and change. Ditto for people going to Rastgardens to shop.
Will it have the capacity?

I feel the same! The proposed plan is shit!

There has been absolutely no community consultation. I can see no benefit to anybody living in Coogee from these proposed changes. Rerouting the 370 from Coogee Bay Road into a residential Carr Street makes no sense. Residential Street now gets a bus in each direction every 10 minutes, great.

Well as normal the goverment has done it again some genius from uni has a brain wave. I wonder how the people on north clovelly will go. [ eg people over 70 plus,] but we know they dont count. Bus number 360 not even a mention. Walk up a steep hill or down a steep hill to catch a bus very well thought out.

Please review access for matraville residents trying to get to randwick light rail/ hospital and to Bondi junction. There is a huge population of residents between Franklin and beauchamp that need this access.
LikeLike
Withdrawing the 307/391 from Matraville is a huge blow for the elderly. Not all passengers at the southern end of Bunnerong Road between Franklin Street and Botany Road are able to walk up to the Matraville hotel to catch a 392. Alot of the elderly community use these services to travel to South Point Shopping Centre and Westfield Eastgardens.
Please don’t think all customers are intending on going to the city on the Tram.

400 bus service via Cook Street Randwick to Bondi Junction, what bus service is to replace it?

Cook and Cowper Street’s bus stops at Randwick. Which bus will now stop at these bus stops to take passengers to Circular Quay?

This is unfeasible and callous to withdraw bus routes local residents. We will not let this happen!! Liberal government trying to control the narrative – no one wants the light rail!

Can’t wait for the next election. Hope the new government can reverse your absurd decisions.

Less buses means more cars. Seems we’re going backwards. Can we just get rid of the white elephant transport blight light rail and do the job properly, underground. Only then can we entertain thoughts of moderating bus services.

Correct me if I am wrong . Bus 350 will be a nightmare for quiet Fern Street. … narrow Arden…. Traffic in the crossing with Albion, Wallace street even worst and finally how this bus could be a good, cheap transport to the airport as it is now with 400.?
LikeLike
I currently rent on Fern street and the new high frequency 350 came into effect 3-4 months into our 12 month lease. I am now looking to move as it’s deafeningly loud and insanely frequent. I can still hear it through closed windows and active noise cancelling headphones. If any car or motorbike were as loud it would have a yellow sticker and be considered unroadworthy until made more quiet. I’m unable to sleep with the window ajar let alone open. It drives past all through the night and has turned living here into an absolute nightmare. I will be escalating this complaint to have the bus route changed.

Many children need the bus route to get to St Scholastica at Glebe from Erskineville / Newtown area, this bus is the only single bus way to get there and therefore the most efficient. If two busses / lightrail combinations are required, are they at the same single journey cost?
LikeLike
No community consultation, disadvantages many vulnerable people, essential workers and the elderly with no localised transport options which 373, 377 bus services provide! Suggested alternatives are an obstacle to further force the community to use a failed light rail network. Constance continues to destabilise useful and very much needed government services. Doesn’t make sense!

Epsom Rd is already very congested during rush hours, now you modified another bus route to go through this road? Did the planner actually research into the real traffic conditions around Green Sqaure area? It looks like they were just planning solely on the map.

So now they want we, who want to avoid the access fees @ the airport stations to have only one bus to the airport terminals – the 350 from Mascot. Currently it’s the 400 (being replaced by the 350), and the 420 from Eastgardens to Burwood, which gives at least 5-10 mins between the buses. If they want us to wait 20-30 minutes for a bus @ Mascot, then they will need to have a ‘rocket up their bums’. This needs to be addressed in more frequent buses to/from the airport.
This can be achieved by adding another route from the airports to the light rail terminus.
Being a pensioner from a country region, I don’t have the funds to pay to get on/of the trains at the airport stations – far too expensive.

Seems like us oldies will have to get much fitter. Not only are we asked to walk further to the bus stop, but we will have to make up to 4 bus changes, which means climbing up and down, just to get from city to our homes in the Eastern suburbs!

South Maroubra bus route 397 used to be direct trip to Circular Quay but as of December 5 it will only be a loop service to Eastgardens every 40 minutes & what angers me is 397 wont be picking up passengers in my street anymore which means myself along with many elderly citizens will now have to walk 10 minutes to the nearest bus stop be it rain or shine, then to travel to Central station we’ll have to get off Maroubra Junction, get another bus to Kingsford & then get the Lightrail. Who on earth is the Government genius who planned the new bus service, once again the elderly are treated like they don’t exist, shame on you NSW LNP!!!!

This proposal only serves to. cut services and make travelling more difficult.I can’t believe that as a customer who lives at Pagewood I need to walk to Eastgardens to go to Maroubra .Shame on whoever has implemented this it makes no sense everyone knows the agenda is to force people onto the failed light rail. Voters will punish you at the polls.
